Evaluation Criteria for Online Preselection and Final Jury

The jury will use updated criteria to evaluate the entries, which have been developed with international design experts. The criteria will be used by the jurors to give scores to individual aspects of each entry.

Online Preselection

Leading international design experts will use the digital material submitted with the registration to choose 50 per cent of the entries to take part in the Final Jury. Each registration will be judged according to a scorecard and you as a participant will be given insight into the jury’s judgement.

When an entry is selected for the Final Jury, it has to participate in the Final Jury and the jury fee has to be paid for each selected entry.

Participants with entries selected for the Final Jury and who have paid the jury fee for these entries receive the title “finalists” and can communicate this status.

There will not be a special logo for finalists.

Final Jury

In March 2022, around 75 experts from all over the world will come together to select the winners in the iF DESIGN AWARD 2022. The jury session will last for three days. Behind closed doors, the jury will examine, touch, explore, test, analyze and, most importantly, thoroughly discuss all entries. The jurors will be announced by October 2021. Applying for an award does not mean you will win one. The jury’s decision is final; there is no legal recourse.
